DJ Jamillio is the artist name of Jamil Groenhart, born on september 14, 1991 in Amsterdam. From young his love for music started, as it became even more. At the age of 9-13 he learned to play the piano, and was very strickt in his training.
Because he growed up in Amsterdam, he made contact with the many clubs and many styles of Amsterdam's music scene. It was in his teen years that he gained compasion for the electronic styles. He got very close with the styles Trance, Techno, Hardstyle & Hardcore/Gabber, who are very hot in Holland. He went to festivals and dj performances, and the love for music became even bigger.
At the age of 17, he began experimenting, with own short songs, and remix of more populair songs. He started of as a non-regular Dj for he doesn't used vinyls but mp3. He calls himself a Future Dj or PCDj. Using software&hardware as VD, FL, GW en DJ-10 mixer he started his first job, creating a short mixtape for the radio program project at his school that now can be found on the internet.
Now, he is still practicing with FL to make various bangin' songs for he is planning to release his first album in 2010. The first few remixes can be found on several sites as youtube and soon also on this site. He is also very busy with some friends to organize their own dance party at their home base, the city of Almere somewhere in 2009. We asked him what he imagines by his first party.
